With the transition to an End Point Assessment Standard from a qualification driven Framework, the demands and expectations of Internal Quality Assurance on the Bricklaying Standard should now reflect the 'effectiveness of processes to support the apprentices progress', rather than quality assure 'assessment planning and assessor judgements of apprentice competences' as previously required.
Ensuring at regular intervals that apprentices are afforded the best opportunities/support/advice to continue developing their skills, knowledge and behaviours over a diverse range of activities, in preparedness for an End Point Assessment will be a key focus of Internal Quality Assurance. Impactful internal quality assurance will also include checks to ensure that all stakeholders are fully cognisant of ongoing expectations of them at the various stages of the Standard.
The series of documents included in this folder provide a facility for planning IQA activities, and recording on individualised documentation, the IQA outcomes from multiple points during the apprentices 30 month Bricklaying Standard journey.
